Gamo Air Rifles UK

Gamo Air Rifles UK

Need a cheap air rifle for pest control, targets or just plinking? The Gamo range is suitable for all. Starting at just £99 for the Hornet (BSA) and £139 for the Whisper range.

Gamo Whisper X

All of the Gamo air rifles have similar characteristics. The basic model we stock is the Whisper X. This has a pistol type grip, open sights and basic sound moderator.

The simple trigger is nice and solid, with the safety catch being just in front.

Adjustable open sights are fine for close shooting where a scope is not needed, however all of the rifles have standard dovetail rails for scope mounts.

The moderator works fairly well, with a '52%' reduction in noise according to Gamo's tests

The basic rifle starts at just £139.

Other variants include the Fusion (bigger sound moderator), the IGT (Gas ram instead of spring) and the then the Camo Rocket IGT and Varmint hunter DX (both with sporter stocks instead of the pistol grip). There is also the Barricade.

As budget air rifles go these are very much in demand and you really can't go wrong with them.  There are cheaper ones on the market, but you get what you pay for and Gamo have taken the quality from BSA (which they now own) and put it into their own guns.

If the synthetic stocks are not to your taste there is also the Classic available at £199 which is of similar build quality but with a wooden beech stock.

Accesories are also well priced with a 4x32 scope only costing £20. The rifles without open sights come with this scope included in the price.

For the Junior shooter there are a couple of options.
The first being the Junior Hunter. This is a small .177 rifle, packing a punch of 6ftlbs. More than enough to start shooting with.

Many prefer a synthetic tactical look and the Delta Fox GT offers a smaller version of the Whisper range with a pistol grip. Again this is in .177

If you are really into the survival nature of the outdoors, Bear Grylls has also teamed up with Gamo to produce some nice looking rifles, based on the whisper range.

Daystate Pulsar -Gun of the month.

http://www.adifferentcalibre.co.uk/gun-of-the-month

Daystate have finally launched the Pulsar and we have our first batch in stock now.
Bullpup rifles seem to be all the rage at the moment, and this latest release from Daysate replaces the MK4.

The PULSAR truly represents a new pinnacle in modern airgun engineering, Featuring Daystate’s patented Map Compensated Technology (MCT) – essentially a digital regulator to control the rifle’s power – combined with a new electronics package developed for the PULSAR, the new rifle is feature rich; including such details as a built in laser sight, display information screen and multiple power settings.
The PULSAR features a revised version of the Harper Patent valve system for increased efficiency and high shot capacity from its 300cc aluminium air cylinder. Combined with our best-ever sound-moderating barrel shroud, the patented electronic system makes a PULSAR near-silent in the field, though the moderator is equipped with a threaded adaptor to suit Daystate’s Airstream VI carbon-fibre silencer for extra suppression if required. A 10-shot, rotary magazine and solid alloy side-leaver loading adds to a huge list of features.
The PULSAR stock is fully ambidextrous—even the cocking leaver can be reversed and comes in a selection of choices of synthetic, walnut, or laminate finishes. The ballistic nylon forend also incorporates a useful 23mm picatinny front rail that allows the fitting of a tactical bipod and other accessories. The PULSAR is also one of the safest air rifles ever, with an unprecedented array of new safety systems.
Welcome to the PULSAR — simply the most advanced hunting rifle in the world.

The Pulsar is available in a variety of guises. The first being the Oro Series limited edition. All tricked out with gold plating, built in laser and level. Only 200 have been made worldwide. We have 7 in stock!

The cocking system is based on a side lever action

It has a 10 shot magazine, raised scope rail and digital readout. The whole gun can be programmed for various modes, different power levels, laser on and off etc.
