Bear Grylls air rifles and pistols

We are now stocking the Bear Grylls range of airguns.

www.diffcal.co.uk for details.

Bear Grylls has already branded the Gerber range of knives, which were pretty good quality in the first place. He has now teamed up with Gamo airguns to produce some BG branded air rifles and a pistol. Here is a quick summary of what's now available in the UK. See our website for details. These are in stock now.

Gamo already have a repuation for producing well made budget airguns, (we stock their entire UK range) so it was interesting to see how these stacked up.

First up is the Pistol

This is essentially a Gamo P300 break barrel air pistol with orange detailing, the BG logo and a set of pellets and targets with it. This retails at £99 which is reasonable, however the standard gun on it's own has a rrp of £79.99. So you do pay more for the branding. This is a well built rugged gun, although it does have a 'plastic' feel overall. It shoots well and would make a good birthday or Christmas present for the younger shooter who likes the BG television series .

Next up is the Explorer .177 junior rifle

This gun is based on the Junior Hunter rifle. The stock is stained wood. The main difference here is the orange colour (which actually looks okay), more chequering on the grips and a small scope + pellets and targets. Not forgetting the BG logo engraved on the rear of the stock. All of this for £114.99 is quite reasonable. It really does look different from the Junior Hunter (£89.99) This will appeal to juniors aged 7-13. If you prefer a more tactical looking rifle, Gamo also make the Delta Fox.

Finally the adult version, the 'Adventure' is an interesting combination of a 'barricade' styled stock in black and orange with a 'hornet' action. (at least that is what it looks like to us).

The stock is fully synthetic and is very well made just like the 'Varmint Barricade'. It doesn't come with a stock but has standard 9-11mm rails that will take most mounts (we reccomend a basic 4x32 scope for these at £20). The break barrel action is smooth and the trigger is okay for a cheap gun. The orange on the gun really stands out. (remember most quarry are colour blind anyway). This retails at £149.99 for the kit of gun, pellets and targets.

In summary; These are nice guns if you like the BG brand. There are other (cheaper) alternatives that these guns are based on so if the branding isn't important to you, there is always something available that is similar.  These are going to be more suited as gifts for the younger shooter or for yourself if you really like the BG brand. The quality of these guns is excellent for the price.

  2. This particular weapon is a lot of fun. It’s light-weight, quiet sufficient for backyard use within the neighborhood, as well as correct. https://gunforest.com/best-gun-safe/under-500/
